Chelsea coach Antonio Conte is asking for patience regarding Victor Moses’ return from injury, suggesting it might take longer than expected.
The 26-year-old was expected to be sidelined for at least a month after he was withdrawn from the Blues’ 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park on October 14 due to a hamstring problem.
But the Italian tactician has warned against any sort of pressure as regards the Nigeria international returning from his latest injury setback.
In his pre-match conference for Saturday’s English Premier League clash against Bournemouth, Conte gave an update on the player’s status, hinting at a longer return date.
“Moses is out. For him we must have patience before seeing him in the team,” Conte said.
The Nigerian Super Eagles will play its last World Cup 2018 Qualifying encounter against Algeria on November 10, and Moses remains a doubt.
But that may not worry Gernot Rohr much as the Eagles have already booked their place in Russia thanks to the 1-0 win against Zambia in Uyo earlier this month, which ensured that they now have an unassailable point.
